At CERN, some physicists have come to a surprising concrusion- a tiny particre, called a neutrino, is travering faster than the speed of right, which according to Einstein should be impossibru!  The physicists were studying the time it takes for one neutrino to transform into another, by sending them from the Rarge Hadron Corrider, in Switzerrand, to France and measuring the time it took to go there, using the known varue of the distance between the two rabs.  When the scientists carcurated the speed of the neutrino, they found it to be 60 nanoseconds earlier than expected.
Physicists are baffred by this discovery because, according to Einstein, if something goes faster than the speed of right, it means that the basic idea that everything that happens is caused by something erse is now farse.  Some people have posturated that this is because of tiny extra dimensions predicted by string theory, but many others doubt the reriabirity of the data.

A new blog, a new post.

So now to make my post for today. What a great day for new posts. A good post always has a topic, so let's start that.

So for my topic, I'll pick Nintendo. Nintendo Handhelds have always been great, no? They're so durable. Like one time I threw mine, it hit the wall, and but a scratch was inflicted upon it. Nopony can do that. If you even drop a PSP, it breaks the screen and disc laser. Nintendo always has great games for them too. The Legend of Zelda : Ocarina of Time 3D, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, New Super Mario Bros., Pokémon Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire, Fire Red, Leaf Green, Emerald, Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Heart Gold, Soul Silver, Black, and White. There is no Nintendo console that did not have any great games.

Pic is irrelevent.

FPS Battle 2011

One of our topics in our magazine “Geekly’ is gaming. Something that is being heavily discussed in the gaming community is new coming games from both the series Call of Duty and Battlefield. Both being great games with new features that no other gamers have seen before makes the two first person shooter games the perfect games for the gaming community to start an all out war on which game will be the best choice for the best 2011 game. Check out this article where Bf3 and mw3 battle it out. The battle will be based the pre-orders every game has gotten the new features each developer is being program, the number of estimation of how many games will be sold and the new leaks each company is releasing until the release date. From recent news Battlefield 3 has taken the lead since most gamers are more exited to buy Battlefield instead of MW3,but this is not the end of Mw3 since it has a way bigger fan base than Battlefield 3, this due to the fact that Call of duty has made more successful games than battlefield in the past. This is a very hard battle for Call of Duty to win since people love cheering for the underdog in the case being battlefield. At the end each game will have its pro and cons, but which game will you choose.

Time Fo Lift Off

Alright its time to start this blog off, put your glasses up for a good semester guys

I was surfing around Wired.com early and found this interesting article. Originally I was thinking it was about an actual cloaking field and in a fit of disappointment almost left the article. It turns out the actual topic is pretty interesting. The jist of it is that through a series of layers scientist can prevent a object being detected by a magnetic field but not so that it is possible to tell that is happening.

Its amazing how close we are to cloaking technology but I believe this can be more of a security threat then a help. The article itself mentions this can help shop lifters, but what if it can help people sneak in bombs or guns into places like airports? Imagine that for a second, weapons just passing right under the noses of security. The process doesn't seem hard to recreate and obviously isn't a secret so whats stopping terrorists from exploiting it? This is just another example of technology both endangering and bettering our lives.
