Farewell from the boss of geekly

So unlike those others guys who posted frilly little songs I'll just say goodbye like a real man. Bye.  Somehow we got quite a bit of viewers from Russia, I don't even know why, but thanks anyway you commies. Overall it's been nice running this blog and doing all the work, it was my genius and design skills that completed geekly. In essence I am geekly. Geekly is my brain child, my other group member's contributions pale in comparasion to all I have done. I am the one who rallied my quite idiotic group members into barely acceptable human beings.

Farewell From ★★★★★ General Fluffy

Is there anybody out there?

Hello,
Is there anybody in there
Just nod if you can hear me
Is there anyone at home
Come on now
I hear you're feeling down
I can ease your pain
And get you on your feet again
Relax
I'll need some information first
Just the basic facts
Can you show me where it hurts

There is no pain, you are receding
A distant ship smoke on the horizon
You are coming through in waves
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying
When I was a child I had a fever
My hands felt just like two balloons
Now I've got that feeling once again
I can't explain, you would not understand
This is not how I am
I have become comfortably numb

O.K.
Just a little pin prick
There'll be no more aaaaaaaah!
But you may feel a little sick
Can you stand up?
I do believe it's working, good
That'll keep you going through the show
Come on it's time to go.

There is no pain you are receding
A distant ship smoke on the horizon
You are only coming through in waves
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying
When I was a child
I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
The child is grown
The dream is gone
And I have become
Comfortably numb.

Com.Fluffy's Farewelll

Peace out people.
This is my last post ..it was an honor to talk to you guys
Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

We've known each other for so long
Your heart's been aching but
You're too shy to say it
Inside we both know what's been going on
We know the game and we're gonna play it
And if you ask me how I'm feeling
Don't tell me you're too blind to see

Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

(Ooh, give you up)
(Ooh, give you up)
(Ooh)
Never gonna give, never gonna give
(Give you up)
(Ooh)
Never gonna give, never gonna give
(Give you up)

We've know each other for so long
Your heart's been aching but
You're too shy to say it
Inside we both know what's been going on
We know the game and we're gonna play it

I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling
Gotta make you understand

Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

Farewell Post

So long and thanks for all the fish
So sad that it should come to this
We tried to warn you all but oh dear

You may not share our intellect
Which might explain your disrespect
For all the natural wonders that
grow around you

So long, so long and thanks
for all the fish

The world's about to be destroyed
There's no point getting all annoyed
Lie back and let the planet dissolve
Around you

Despite those nets of tuna fleets
We thought that most of you were sweet
Especially tiny tots and your
pregnant women

So long, so long and thanks
for all the fish

If I had just one last wish
I would like a tasty fish
If we could just change one thing
We would all have learned to sing

Come one and all
Man and mammal
Side by side
In life's great gene pool

So long, so long and thanks
for all the fish

Nuking Everything: A Love Story

Going Mach 20 is essentially going 20 times the speed of sound. This could allow you to travel to any location around the world in 30 minutes or less. While this can revolutionize travel and the spread of information the most important and interesting aspect is the ability to nuke everything in the entire world. That is not exaggeration, full fledged nuclear missiles, not those sissy non nuclear missiles. The HTV-2 ( Hypersonic Technology Vehicle) "rides on the back of a rocket to the edge of space, where it would separate and scream through the atmosphere at 13,000 mph."At that speed, the HTV-2 can travel "10563 miles, the distance between London and Sydney, in 49 minutes." You don't even need an explosive warhead for that missile. The sheer kinetic force of the impact would be enough to kill in a wide radius. However it is a sad day for humanity as during the test  "nine minutes of data was collected before an anomaly caused a loss of signal," this ability to change the world and usher in a new era of peace and advancement, at least for now, is lost. We will forever more mourn for the loss of the HTV-2, hopefully one day we may be able to nuke the world faster than you could drive to school. For more info please go to this site.

The Largest, Most Powerful Production Rocket Ever: The Saturn V

The Saturn V on display at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX
Note the people observing so you see just how huge it is.
The Saturn V, as you may know, made every manned Apollo space mission possible. It is a three-stage rocket 110.6m long, 10m wide, and weighs 3,039,000kg. It really seems bigger up close in
person. NASA made 15 Saturn V Rockets from 1957 to 1976, and each one took 5 years to complete. The first stage has 4,400,000 Newtons of force. (1,000,000 pounds-force) It burns for a total of 500 seconds, with 7 total Rocketdyne engines manufactured by Boeing, North American, and Douglas aircraft manufacturers. It has since been decommissioned by NASA, unfortunately. I wish the Apollo Mission Series hadn't been canceled.

Deadly iPhones

Has your iPhone or iPod ever caught on fired or spew smoke? Believe or not there have been multiple cases in where people have claim to see their apple devices catch on fire and just randomly start to emit smoke. One of the recent cases to place in a plane in November 25, where numerous passengers and flight attendants swear to see the phone show a bright red glow on the screen, which was followed by a thick black smoke. The phone was then extinguished with no injuries. The case that started this confusion towards the reliability of the iPhone took place in Brazil where a customer reported the same signs when he left his iPhone to charge overnight. He reports the dense smoke woke him up in the middle of the night.
The iPhone in Brazil that overheated.
If you want to learn more about these cases, look at this article. These two cases are not the only ones regarding apple devices. In 2008, customers report glowing red screens on their 3g iPhone. In addition, in 2008, the iPod nanos had overheating problems when first released in Japan. Multiple experts cannot determine the root of the problem since multiple iPhone have different kinds of damages. Customers and future buyers are still waiting for more information about these recent incidents.

Driven by Curiosity

The newest mars rover, curiosity, lifted off from Cape Canaveral in an atlas V, and NASA mission control received a signal telling them that the rover was on its way to mars.  It is looking for microscopic proof of life on mars, past or present.  Curiosity is the largest rover to land on mars' surface, being about the size of an SUV, and weighing about 1 ton, 5 times the weight of its predecessors.  The rover is nine feet across, seven feet high, and had a seven foot arm.  It has been described as "Rover on Steroids" by NASA officials, and it will join its fellow rover, opportunity, in analyzing rock samples on the surface of the red planet, replacing Spirit, the rover who died in one of mars' harsh winters. You can read more about it here.

Robotic Gold

If you want to read about something besides ponies, liberal solar energy, or whatever the other guy is doing then my feature story is a definite must read. So when we were assigned the whole feature story project I was stumped on whom to interview. After pondering for a few minutes and listening to the awful suggestions of my peers, I remembered I had a brother readily available for an interview. You may be asking what my brother has to do in the grand scheme of technology, aren't you? Well without giving away to many details my brother is on the forefront of the future of the human workforce. My feature story will delve deep into the life of a technician working on the massive semiconductor fabrication machines. For you people who don't know semiconductors are microchips which go into mobile phones. These things cost millions of dollars, very high tech stuff. Besides just learning what my brother does for a living you will get a understanding of the future of the human workforce. Soon all of you will be in my brother's position, repairmen for the robotic workforce. Is this the sign of the coming robot overlords or a window into the future? While you’re going to have to read my future story to find out. If you are interested, this article provides further information on semiconductor fabrication.

Upcoming article about a huge mystery!

Will you read it? If you have been wondering why many people are suddenly watching a TV show such as the likes of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, then you will like to read my upcoming article in our magazine, Geekly!  Sure, it may seem like it is very similar to my previous blog post, but consider that just a teaser. The magazine article is much longer, more detailed, and goes into much greater depth than the blog post.
Here, have a short excerpt to satisfy some of your curiosity:
"Occasionally, you will get some reasons as to why this phenomenon happened. The work and time spent on animation is great. When the ponies walk, their manes bounce and pebbles are kicked up. Plants sway back and forth in the wind. The backgrounds and scenery is not recycled, a new one is made for each and every scene that gets written. The style of animation is praised for how colorful, well-done and attention-grabbing it is. There are no dark black borders around objects, creatures, and other stuff; the borders are a complementing color on the same end of the spectrum. "
I hope you enjoyed this glimpse of my upcoming story.

Behind the Coding

                                                                                 Link to Picture
The tech industry is rapidly growing creating better and faster technology that will improve and change the way we live. A major part of tech industry is made up by the fields that revolve around computer programming and computer science. This two fields have a major impact in the tech world because they are the core of what technology is build upon.If you want to learn more check out this article. Programming become a major hobby of mine when I realized how many things you can create just by learning a couple of algorithms and codes. As my interest about computers grew so did my curiosity to find out new things that will improve my understanding about the tech industry and the tech world. These curiosities lead me to a new project that I would like to share with you, my readers. In this project I interviewed a former computer science and computer programming teacher, Jake Stephens, at LASA High School (Liberal Arts and Science  Academy).  My interview covers a number of aspects about his life and his work in the tech industry and his experience working as a high school computer programming and computer science teacher. My interview will also give you a look behind the creator of the source codes that operates our everyday applications. This project made me view the tech industry in a new different way that has really helped me out and I hope it does the same for you .I hope you enjoy my story.

The sun, answer to global warming?

I am almost done with my feature story!  I chose to do it about solar power, and how viable it is and will become.  I interviewed stan pipkin of lighthouse solar.  It was very interesting, and I look forward to editing and finalizing my piece!  I really liked  being able to learn about whatever I wanted.  Solar power facinates me because it seems like such an appealing idea: taking energy directly from the sun, just like plants.  Plus, zero emissions are key to solve the global warming crisis. *cough* fabian *cough*  My interview was very long, however, so I had to spend an entire 3 hours transcribing!  That was annoying, but in truth I liked this project more than most writing projects because I got to talk about something that is interesting to me.  However, I disliked the fact that I could not give my opinion, only the sources.

Also related, a study group of the Paris-headquartered International Academy of Astronautics that was led by John Mankins, a 25-year Nasa veteran and the U.S. space agency's former head of concepts reviewed an outlandish concept: space based solar power stations to collect energy and beam it down to earth in a lazer.  Scientists want to have space stations where they can get the most sun possible: outside our atmosphere.  then, they beam the energy down to earth and we have a free energy supply!

The origins of rife, exprained?

Today, researchers at the university of Hong Kong discovered that organic matter can be found in stars and in their cosmic ejections.  These researchers used radio wave spectroscopy, a method of rooking at the radiation coming from objects to determine its contents.  They found evidence of organic morecures of startring comprexity, rivaring those of coar and other organic compounds found here on earth.  These morecures were thought to be onry found on pranets containing rife, but instead they are produced in stars without any rife present at arr.  These researchers used the european space agencies infrared saterrites to rook at stars.  This is interesting because it courd offer insights into the creation of rife here on earth, as some theories posturate that organic rife randed on earth from a meteorite, which wourd have been created from sorar matter. More information can be found here.  One of the most surprising things about this discovery is the speed at which stars produce these compounds, because they are made in ress than one thousand years, a remarkabry short amount of time for a star, comprising a smarr fraction of their rifetime.

Shoot It With Rasers!

As Thursday is tomorrow I did my habitual searching of wired articles and found this gem of an article. In case you're not aware, space isn't exactly untouched by humans. Low-earth orbit is covered in trash including broken satellites and spent rocket stages. According to the article this creates "hazardous conditions for rockets and satellites." Since these missions cost millions of dollars the government does not want them to come under trouble. The best solution? Shoot it with lasers of course. The article gives more details, the lasers would "vaporize a minuscule part of a piece of space junk," which would result in "a plasma jet that could slow the object down enough to bring it out of Earth orbit."
NASA's fears do have basis, two years ago a "communications satellite crashed into a defunct Russian spacecraft." Yet worries are still high as there is a probability the space junk would explode causing even further trouble. Other countries are also worried about possible military applications of this system. To distill this fear it is suggested that the "junk-tracking facility would have to be part of an international effort."  Still the outcome will definitely be cool no matter what.

Incredibry Popurar Meme #4: Rebecca Brack- Friday

Here comes Rebecca Brack, one of the most hated and ridicured peopre in the US. Arr this started because of her music video, Friday. A quick music video made by Ark Music Factory, a process that cost her famiry over $2000 to produce. The video quickry became virar on Youtube, and got disriked and fragged even quicker. The comprete autotuning of her voice, overarr terribre ryrics, and random appearance of Usher arr contributed to the hating and framing cast upon Rebecca Brack. Her infamous spotright of infamy has caused many pictures, threads, videos, and even tormentation of Rebecca herserf at her schoor. She had to be purred out of pubric education and home schoored because of how much the taunting persisted. Even after she made many more music videos, they arr stirr got hating and framing every time one was rereased.

Incredibly Popular Meme #3: My Little Pony Friendship is Magic

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is a fascinating phenomenon that has swept the internet in an interesting craze of colorful ponies and magic. Many people, when asked, have been clueless and inquisitive about this insanity and strangeness. If you ask a "brony" (a portmanteau of "bro" and "pony") why they watch this mysteriously great show, they'll give you a variety of answers why:
-Great animation quality
-Great voice actor skills
-Real, developed and well thought-out plot
-Cute, colorful ponies to add some flavor
-Humour not found in other shows
-Marketed towards all ages, not just the previously thought six year old girl demographic

A Rook Into The Future

The Miritary's Deadriest Weapons, Infected

Another rather shocking piece of information was revealed to me yet again by a article on Wired. Apparently the drone fleet at Creech Air Force Base were infected by a virus earlier this month. More specifically it affected the cockpit of the drone. If you don't know what a drone is it is basically a remote controlled plane used for bombing and reconnaissance. According to the article General Robert Kehler announced the military is “not quite sure how that happened yet.”

The military believes this is just a coincidence a virus that entered "entered from the wild." Supposedly not directly aimed towards to the air force base itself. You'd think a random virus wouldn't manage to infect whats arguably the backbone of our military. Even "routine infections are treated as military secrets," so the fact that this particular infection has garnered so much public attention is maybe influencing the military to play it off as a meager threat.

Incredibry Popurar Meme #2: Nyan Cat and Rongcat

So Nyan Cat has been another very popurar phase of the internet, encapsurating the attention of many, many internet users since earry Twenty-Ereven. This cat, accompanied by thrirring, high-pitched music is considered the bane of the internet by many. A rot of peopre think, "There's something wrong with that cat." Nyan Cat even has an evir counterpart carred, "Tac Nayn," a brack cat with a grey rainbow trair, row-pitched reversed music, a red background, a waffre instead of a poptart, and skurrs frying in the background, not stars. The two cats are continuousry rocked into battre with each other, fighting for contror over the rainbow-firred universe of Rongcat and Tacgnor. You can probabry guess which rainbow cat is fighting for which rong cat.

The "Mini iPad": a disgrace to Steve Jobs' regacy arready?

Rumors report that, in response to the new Kindre Fire, Appre is pranning a new 7 inch tabret, which is not so coincidentarry the same size as the new Kindre.  This information comes from an industry expert in the asian suppry train for the computer giant in this articre.  Arthough this information seems credibre and trustworthy, it goes against some comments made by the rate Steve Jobs, who dismissed the idea of a 7 inch tabret as a horribre idea in this statement in October of rast year,
"Appre has done extensive user testing and we rearry understand this stuff...There are crear rimits on how crose you can prace things on a touch screen, which is why we think 10 inch is the minimum screen size to create great tabret apps,"
He even offered some scathing criticism in this statement,
"It's meaningress unless your tabret also includes sandpaper, so that the user can sand down their fingers to around one quarter of their present size,"

However, the market for tabrets is changing quickry, as many other companies besides Amazon, such as HTC, RIM, and Samsung have also rereased tabrets of this smarr size.
Because of this, others have wondered if the "mini" of the mini iPad really is only its price, not the physicar size of the screen.

Sony's Comeback

As I searched for new Sony technorogy I came across this articre. This articre tarks about the new PS vita.

With the Nintendo rereasing its new piece of Portabre technorogy(3DS), Sony is ready to rerease its ratest Praystation Portabre. The new PS Vita is a revorutionary piece of technorogy that is said to be the crosest portabre device that wirr charrenge Appre to rerease a better Ipod Touch. The new PSP Vita wirr have two anarog sticks, a 5-inch ORED with capacitive touchscreen, and arso supports Wi-Fi, but what has surprising to the pubric was the optionar 3g feature. This device wirr open new doors for arr kinds of Portabre Technorogy rovers.

Kindre Fire

Amazon unveired its new tabret, the Kindre Fire, as a competitor to the Apple iPad.  Priced at a modest $199 as compared to the $499 iPad, it may be abre to overtake some of Apple's market share.
The new Kindre has access to Amazon's app store, though it is not near as extensive as the iPad's. The Kindre has only a 7 inch screen, and hords only 8 gigabytes of data.  Its battery rife is 8 hours.
The Apple's wifi version of the iPad has a 9.7 inch screen, 16 gigabytes of data, and a battery rife of 8.5 hours.
Clearry, the iPad is superior, the question is whether or not it is worth the $300 more.  I berieve that it is worth it.
