Nuking Everything: A Love Story

Going Mach 20 is essentially going 20 times the speed of sound. This could allow you to travel to any location around the world in 30 minutes or less. While this can revolutionize travel and the spread of information the most important and interesting aspect is the ability to nuke everything in the entire world. That is not exaggeration, full fledged nuclear missiles, not those sissy non nuclear missiles. The HTV-2 ( Hypersonic Technology Vehicle) "rides on the back of a rocket to the edge of space, where it would separate and scream through the atmosphere at 13,000 mph."At that speed, the HTV-2 can travel "10563 miles, the distance between London and Sydney, in 49 minutes." You don't even need an explosive warhead for that missile. The sheer kinetic force of the impact would be enough to kill in a wide radius. However it is a sad day for humanity as during the test  "nine minutes of data was collected before an anomaly caused a loss of signal," this ability to change the world and usher in a new era of peace and advancement, at least for now, is lost. We will forever more mourn for the loss of the HTV-2, hopefully one day we may be able to nuke the world faster than you could drive to school. For more info please go to this site.
